Wheels make a car and for a Ferrari the best is just good enough. The NOVITEC ROSSO suspension specialists have developed custom versions of the three-piece NF3 alloy wheels for the Italian sports car.

The new wheels feature a striking design with five double spokes and polished outer flanges. Contrary to the 19-inch production wheels, the 612 Scaglietti in NOVITEC ROSSO trim sports a combination of size 9Jx20 wheels in front and size 12.5Jx21 rims on the rear axle.

This measure benefits not only the driving dynamics of the car but also and foremost the coupe’s appearance. The staggered wheels further emphasize the wedge-shaped design of the two-door car.

In the P Zero tire technology partner Pirelli offers the perfect ultra-high-performance tires for this tire/wheel combination that makes optimal use of the available space in the wheel wells Tires in size 275/30 ZR 20 on the front axle provide enormous grip during fast cornering and hard braking. Tires in size 355/25 R 21 on the rear axle allow even higher cornering speeds and provide maximum traction.

The exclusive look can be further upgraded with black NOVITEC ROSSO lamps. The complete package comprises the four round taillights, the reflectors and the side markers.

Further cornerstones of the NOVITEC ROSSO program for the 612 Scaglietti are a power increase and an even sportier exhaust note. The inner workings of the V12 engine with a displacement of 5,748 cm³ remain untouched. The power increase to 565 hp / 416 kW at 7,290 rpm is the product of a newly calibrated engine management system and the NOVITEC ROSSO stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system.

The tuning gives the V12 engine an even crisper response and lets it rev up even faster. Simultaneously peak torque grows to 609 Nm at 5,300 rpm. A top speed of more than 325 km/h and a sprint time for 0 – 100 km/h of just 3.9 seconds make the 2+2-seater an even more dominant sports car.

The NOVITEC ROSSO sport exhaust system is an integral part of the power increase and produces a truly delightful exhaust note. The NOVITEC ROSSO exhaust is easily distinguished by its four 90-mm tailpipes cut at an angle.

NOVITEC ROSSO upgrades the four-seat interior according to customers’ personal preferences. The ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel comes in any color imaginable. But that’s not all: Customers can also freely choose the steering wheel’s material as well as the thickness of the rim. The rim is flattened at the bottom for easier entering and exiting of the vehicle.

Every NOVITEC ROSSO interior is characterized by its masterful precision finish and its striking colors. But NOVITEC ROSSO realizes not only Ferrari owners’ personal material and color selections, it also custom-tailors the seat to each customer’s body measurements. Special requests such as for seats with even more lateral support or a lowered seat position for especially tall drivers round out the interior customization program.

The body kit includes a new front spoiler and rear diffuser, as well as widened fenders and a tiny rear spoiler. The two-tone paint uses a contrasting color in the body scallops and is reminiscent of a classic Corvette. The lighter gray is also used on the roof panel. Blackout wheels with ultra-low profile tires complete the tuned look. The Imola Racing 612 Scaglietti also includes an upgraded interior, though we don’t know if the powertrain or suspension has been modified at all. Imola’s mechanical upgrades have generally been exhaust- and suspension-based, so it’s a good guess that this 612 Scaglietti has benefitted from some of the shop’s expertise in that regard.

Clients will be assisted in making their selections by dedicated Programme consultants who can help them at every stage of defining their car’s specification.

All of these unique new 612 Scagliettis will be built in a dedicated assembly area at the Maranello factory.

The 612 Scagliettis being used to launch the One-to-One Programme incorporate a series of technical evolutions that reflect the Ferrari philosophy of constantly introducing innovations in each model. Most notably, the V12 flagship now boasts an electrochromic panoramic roof which covers the entire top of the cabin. The electrochromic glass can be changed at the touch of a button to adjust the levels of sunlight allowed into the cabin. This solution was developed in close collaboration with Saint Gobain, a partner with whom Ferrari has most recently developed a similar highly innovative solution for the Superamerica.

In addition to its electrochromic roof, the 612 Scaglietti also sports the aptly named SuperFast gearbox which delivers an exceptional gear-shifting time of 100 milliseconds and a reduced inertia clutch to enhance the engine’s responsiveness still further. The iconic Ferrari manettino, now featured on the entire range, has also been added to the steering wheel.

The Company’s sporting history is represented at the Park Avenue Showroom by the 430 Scuderia, an extreme model voted “Dream Car of the Year” by the authoritative British car magazine Top Gear.

Ferrari in North and South America

2007 was the 15th consecutive year of growth for Ferrari North America with 1,762 cars delivered in the United States and Canada and a further 90 in Central and South America, amounting to 1,851 Ferraris altogether. This figure represents 30% of Ferrari’s total sales worldwide, making North America the company’s largest market. Sales were also up 8% on the previous year’s figures for the North, Central and South American market.

There are 45 dealerships in Ferrari’s American network: 32 are in the United States, 4 in Canada and 9 in South America.

The North American dealership network has invested $70 million over the last three years in upgrading its infrastructure while a further $30 million will be spent in 2008.

California is the largest of the North American markets, accounting for 27% of sales. It is followed by North East (16%), Florida (11%), Texas (7%) and Chicago (6%).

The leading South American markets are Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, Chile and Argentina.

Ferrari North America enjoys an exclusive relationship with its clients and enthusiasts, which has been further enhanced by the introduction of a vast range of services and events over the last few years. These include the Ferrari Challenge, which celebrates its 16th edition this year and offers F430 Challenge owners no less than seven different opportunities to race their cars in the course of the year.

In 2008 The Ferrari Challenge races will be held in Florida, Georgia, Northern California (both at the Infeneon and Laguna Seca tracks), Quebec and New Jersey.

Since 2006 Ferrari North America has also been organizing the Ferrari North America Driving School, which is based at the Mont Tremblant circuit in Quebec. Course participants are given the opportunity to learn various driving control techniques to ensure they fully enjoy their car at the peak of its performance in an environment in which safety remains the absolute priority at all times.

Ferrari Financial Services was also introduced to the United States in July 2007. The company was created to acquaint Ferrari clients to a new world of services, including but not limited to financing options, which utilize a wide range of personalized flexible programs.

Form and function assume a strong symbiosis through the HAMANN aerodynamic components. The sports car designed by Pininfarina acquired a front spoiler from the noble tuner from Laupheim to provide optimal downforce on the front axle, which also improved the optics of the largest Ferrari even further. The pair of side sills for the flank of the 612 impart an impression of lowered suspension. The rear spoiler helps to ensure optimal downforce on the rear axle, while clearly bringing a more sporting look to the rear view without disturbing the basic design. HAMANN achieves an even bigger modification to the rear view through a new rear end component with integrated diffuser, which also ensures more downforce.

As customary with HAMANN, the aerodynamic components are available in fiberglass and carbon-Kevlar.

HAMANN addresses the subject of wheels with its self-developed design “Edition Race”. The appearance of the three-part, ultra-light, forged rim with cross-spoke design and black rim-star is characterized by the nine main spokes, which each branch out to form two more. Besides the exciting design, the titanium screwing is particularly pleasing to the eye. The cherry on the cake of the noble optics is the highly polished rim flange. Naturally HAMANN also offers the wheel as a complete wheel set.

With the aid of a chassis spring assembly, HAMANN lowers the center of gravity even further which even in a vehicle of this caliber still brings noticeable improvement to the handling.

Incontestably the sound of a Ferrari 12-cylinder is something completely special. The sport mufflers are made from in V2A stainless steel and are offered by HAMANN for left and right, each of which has double exhaust pipes (Ø 90mm). When ordering the sport mufflers, the 540 HP symphony sounds twice as potent as before. This also means that the twelve cylinders can breathe out more easily.

Naturally HAMANN also dedicates itself to the interior. Traveling should be made as pleasant as possible for the passengers. For example, an exclusive foot mat set in black in the Ferrari’s cockpit makes it appear more homey. Of course HAMANN can also modify any 612 Scaglietti to the individual tastes of the customer, e.g. with lavish leather fittings in different colors or extensive multimedia configurations involving a DVD player, TV or PlayStation.
